| This view given you a great view of the border between Gibraltar and Spain. The marina where Connect4 is moored is in the background. The airport runway stretches out to the water on both sides, and the main road runs right through the middle of it. When a plane needs to take off, or one is about to land, they sound warning sirens and lower boomgates to stop The traffic and pedestrians. One day I found myself halfway across the runway, lugging a very overloaded granny trolley, when the sirens sounded as a plane was landing. My poor old trolley chose that moment to break an axle and lose both wheels - talk about a panic! | |
